Technical Interpreter (spoken), sometimes referred to translator

I mentioned “Translator” too because the difference between interpreting and translation services for some people seems to be unclear. Interpreting Services is a spoken one, whereas Translation Services is a written one. I do offer both, but I am more specialised in Interpreting Services!

If you wish to have a quality meeting with your Japanese business partner, why not use the services of a professional native Japanese interpreter based in Europe to make things run smoothly and without the risk of misunderstanding? You will definitely save time and unnecessary effort. They might speak in English, but…

The following information will be required for a quotation:

  1. Interpreting Modes

Yoko offers two interpreting modes namely whispering and consecutive.

Whispering: Whispering is an interpreting mode whereby the interpreter is seated next to one or two meeting participants and whispers the interpretation of the speech. This mode is used mainly when only one or two people need interpretation. Whispering is not recommended when there are more than two listeners.

Consecutive: The interpreter providing consecutive interpretation sits at the same table with the delegates or at the speaker’s platform and interprets a speech into the target language after the speaker speaks. The length of the speeches varies.

  1. Business Situation Description (ex. Company meeting, Company and Factory visit, Exhibition etc.)
  2. Subject Area (ex. automotive industry etc.)
  3. Purpose of Business (ex. negotiation, incentive visit, etc.)
  4. Date and Duration

How we price our Interpreting (spoken) Services:

Our pricing is based on an 8 hour day (including some breaks). We do not offer any services at an hourly rate. This is because preparation time is included in our rate and preparing for an interpretation of one hour or 3 days requires an equal amount of preparation. However, under certain circumstances, we might consider a reduction for less than 4 hours. Our pricing starts from 750€ / day + French VAT 20% (if applicable).

Send us a contact form below providing us with the information we require (see above).

We will get back to you within 36 hours.

Language is not the only a hindering communicational challenge in a global company. You might have a dispute with your Japanese colleagues and you feel something is wrong with your communication.
